The 3rd Annual Tres Pescadors Slam Tournament will be held here in San Pedro beginning July 28th, 2011.
This wonderful, three day fly fishing competition is scheduled to correspond with the new moon thus insuring high tides and ample opportunity to land plenty of bonefish, permit and tarpon. The water around Ambergris Caye teems with these three fish (tres pescadors) most of the time – with or without 
the new moon!.
Catch and release all three in one day – it’s a grand slam.
Teams will go out daily to try their luck and then check in with their results at the palapa in the town square from 3 PM to 6PM. Also, at the same time in the afternoons, there will be daily casting competitions on the beach – open to all – men, women and children.
